What is the mission of Jesus Christ? ​

In Luke 4:18, 19, in response to the Spirit's guidance, Jesus proclaims his mission when he reads from the Isaiah scroll:
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.

Our mission is to proclaim Jesus Christ and promote communities of joy, hope, love and peace.
Mission Made Real - Christ’s mission is our mission. All ministries, personnel, and resources of the World Church are focused on the whole mission of Jesus Christ through five, life-changing, church-changing, and world-changing Mission Initiatives.

The Open Door Mission

At the Open Door we see God leading us towards becoming a seven day a week church. We seek to provide support services and ministries for people in our local and LGBTIQ community that meet the needs stemming from isolation, loneliness, rejection and fear. We are committed to finding ways to bring God's love to people by providing a caring, supportive and safe place for people to meet, make friends and be affirmed for who God has created us to be. ​
